Save a YouTube video, a Netflix title, a Spotify album, or any web or app-scheme link, and Cushion remembers what kind of thing it is — the icon and color are picked automatically. Tap the tile from the couch and that exact link is sent straight to the TV over the same channel Android's own launcher uses, so it opens on the actual title, already playing.

Your favorites live in a library that syncs across every device you own, in real time — add your iPad with a code and it's a full editor immediately, no rebuilding the list from scratch. Lose a phone and the other five still hold everything.
Sharing with someone else works the same way, one role lower: they get a read-only copy of your list they can browse and launch from their own remote, and can copy anything they like into their own favorites. Pairing, done properly.
Cushion finds Google TVs on your network automatically and confirms the pairing the same way Google's own remote app does: your phone generates a certificate, your TV puts a 6-digit code on screen, and you type it back in. From then on the connection is mutually authenticated — not a shared password, a real handshake.
The power button doesn't need the TV to already be listening. Asleep, it sends a Wake-on-LAN packet and queues the power press for the instant the connection lands; awake, it just toggles power. One button, either way.

Every screen is one native SwiftUI layout — nothing scrolls out of reach below the fold. A single measurement, taken from the space actually available, drives the size of the d-pad and every button around it, so the remote is never crowded on a small phone and never stretches into a two-handed reach on an iPad.
The whole interface — warm black, cushion cream, an ember accent — comes straight from the app icon, in both light and dark appearance. Connection state is always a single colored dot, never a modal interrupting the button you're about to press.
